Investors take part in the Inside ENGIE event
Approximately 80 investors took part in a meeting on November 28 and 29 at the head offices of ENGIE in Florianopolis where themes pertinent to the electrical sector such as the regulatory environment and competitive differentials were discussed as well as the strategic vision of the company. The “Inside Engie” event was an opportunity to introduce three new officers of the Company to the market: Marcelo Malta (Chief Financial Officer), Marcos Keller (Chief Regulation and Market Officer) and Guilherme Ferrari (Chief New Businesses, Strategy and Innovation Officer).
ENGIE Brasil Energia’s Chief Executive and Investor Relations Officer, Eduardo Sattamini, declared to participants that the company has been prioritizing investments in renewable sources as well as seeking to increase customer awareness of new commercialization strategies. He pointed out the beginning of installation work on the new transmission lines in the state of Paraná and the Company’s debut in the natural gas segment with the acquisition of TAG in the first half of the year. “We do not want to grow for the sake of growing, we want to grow by creating value with discipline and financial soundness”, he said. “These meeting are of a strategic nature to demonstrate our transparency and relevance to the energy sector as a whole”.
One of the highlights of the meeting and announced by Chief Financial Officer Marcelo Malta is that as from the next quarter, ENGIE will begin disclosing its financial results by business segment: Generation, Distributed Solar Generation, Transmission, Natural Gas and Trading.
Another high point in the event was the visit of investors to the Generation Operations Center (COG), also located at the Company’s head offices, and from where plants are operated remotely. This week, ENGIE began controlling one of its largest capacity plants from the COG: Salto Santiago in the state of Paraná with 1,425 MW.
Transmission of the meeting with investors was broadcast simultaneously via ENGIE Brasil’s YouTube Channel and by video-conferencing to the Company’s plants.
