ENGIE Brasil Energia maintains its Integrated Management System certification for the 19th consecutive year

The Integrated Management System (IMS) consolidates information, requisites, and indicators of ENGIE Brasil Energia, certification of which was renewed by Bureau Veritas, after auditing undertaken in August 2023. Among criteria used for evaluation are the NBR ISO 9001 – Management of Quality; NBR ISO 14001 – Environmental Management and ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management standards.

The Company’s hydropower plants have received this certification since 2004, thus in 2023 completing 19 years. For this cycle, the Cana Brava, Salto Osório, Jaguara and Machadinho hydropower plant assets were included in the certification sample in addition to ENGIE Brasil Energia’s headquarters located in the city of Florianópolis. The latter houses the Company’s administrative areas together with the remote activities of a good part of the operation and transmission assets, auditing, and certification of these having begun in 2019.

“We are committed to operating at the highest levels of quality in all our processes, structured on the basis of the best management practices and aligned to ENGIE’s legal and ethical principles. Certification enables us to give our customers, partners, and regulatory organs visibility as to the compliance of our activities”, Eduardo Sattamini, ENGIE Brasil Energia’s Chief Executive Officer comments.

The Company must comply with all prerequisite standards making up ISO norms to qualify for certification. Certification represents a guarantee of agreement with the processes relative to the requirements established by the ISO (the regulator), and also with all applicable municipal, state and federal legislation as well as internal policies and norms.
