Report with purpose

Every year, ENGIE Brasil Energia publishes its Sustainability Report aiming to inform the various publics with which it relates about its challenges and advances in relation to ESG aspects – an acronym for the terms Environmental, Social and Governance. The publication, in addition to economic, operational and socio-environmental performance indicators, also reports on policies, processes and practices related to the most relevant topics for business sustainability.

In this way, it demonstrates the evolution of the corporate strategy and its consequences, always connected to the Company's purpose: to act to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral society by means of reduced energy consumption and more environmentally friendly solutions.

Sustainability Report 2023

Guided by the purpose of acting to accelerate the transition towards a carbon-neutral society, through reduced energy consumption and more sustainable solutions, ENGIE Brasil Energia is guided by a resilient business model, with a focus on generating shared value for people and the planet. This performance is reflected in its environmental, social and governance initiatives, which are presented in the 2023 Sustainability Report. Check it out.

Prepared based on the guidelines proposed by the Global Reporting Initiative – GRI, the report is also guided by recommendations from other leading institutions in the field, such as the International Sustainability Standard Boards of the IFRS Foundation, Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), United Nations Global Compact, World Economic Forum, and Financial Sustainability Board (FSB) – within the scope of the Taskforce on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) and the Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures. The publication was submitted to independent external verification.

In order to deepen the report on two essential themes of its environmental strategy, ENGIE Brasil Energia is publishing, for the first time, alongside the 2024 Sustainability Report, a Supplementary Folder focused on Climate and Nature. The publication consolidates related data and initiatives, detailing actions for mitigation and adaptation to climate change, as well as for the conservation and regeneration of Brazilian biomes.

We concluded the challenging year of 2024 not only by demonstrating resilience in our operational and financial results but also by celebrating important achievements. We extend our invitation to continue building the future together, driven by hope, inspiring companies and people. At ENGIE Brasil Energia, we will remain determined to overcome challenges, attentive to growth opportunities, and focused on sustainable development – the only kind that interests us.

Eduardo Sattamini

Chief Executive Officer of ENGIE Brasil Energia
