The successful candidates will have the benefit of a transformative experience involving a week\u2019s trip to France with a full agenda of activities directed towards their professional development, this to take place in the week of February 11 in commemoration of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (UNESCO).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis award is in line with ENGIE&#8217;s purpose, which is to accelerate the transition to a carbon-neutral world by reconciling performance with a positive impact on people and the planet. We are convinced that this exchange of experiences between Brazilian and French leadership will be rich and inspiring, reinforcing our action for gender equity, especially in our sector,\u201d says Sophie Quarr\u00e9 de Verneuil, People and Culture Officer at ENGIE Brazil.<\/p>\n<p>There are to be three awards: one for researchers, another for engineers and a third focused specifically on professional engineers at ENGIE Brasil. To take part in the \u201cWoman Researcher in the Energy Transition\u201d requirements are to have been a researcher for less than ten years in the area (discounting the period of research for obtaining a doctorate or PhD) as of the closing date for enrollment and in the case of the \u201cWoman Engineer\u00a0 in the Energy Transition\u201d, to have been an engineer with less than 10 years in the profession. In both cases, the candidate must be resident in Brazil, regardless of nationality, and to be working actively on the domestic energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>For the \u201cENGIE Brasil Women Engineers in the Energy Transition\u201d award, women engineers with less than 10 years&#8217; experience and who have been employed by ENGIE for at least 3 months may apply. It is also essential that their professional activity has contributed to the objectives of Brazil&#8217;s energy transition.<\/p>\n<p>Enrollments may be made up to November 22 and applications should be submitted via the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSernZplzSwyBzAvn2ioX6fjDEQNHgRox9Owsy8GsR6x9loEjw\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">LINK<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSernZplzSwyBzAvn2ioX6fjDEQNHgRox9Owsy8GsR6x9loEjw\/viewform?usp=sf_link\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSernZplzSwyBzAvn2ioX6fjDEQNHgRox9Owsy8GsR6x9loEjw\/viewform?usp=sf_link<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Candidates should complete a form and attach a CV, a cover letter, a letter of commitment, a description of the projects in the energy transition area, a description of the possible benefits that the immersion might bring to the projects plus a supporting letter from a personality in the area of research or industry.<\/p>\n<p>The applications shall be reviewed by a panel of in-house specialists from ENGIE Brazil, the French Embassy as well as academic experts involved in the energy transition.\u00a0 ENGIE&#8217;s female employees shall \u00a0be selected internally, without the participation of the French Embassy, adopting the same criteria as the external call for candidates and together with an evaluation of the Company&#8217;s Executive Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The result will be announced in early December. Successful candidates will receive return tickets to France and 7 nights&#8217; full board and lodging.
