The Lot was won at an Annual Allowed Revenue (\u201cReceita Anual Permitida\u201d \u2013 RAP) of BRL 252.2 million. ANEEL predicts BRL 2.9 billion in investments for the project.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The contract covers construction of approximately 780 kilometers of transmission lines and 2 new substations &#8211; 525 kV Curitiba Oeste and Abdon Batista 2 \u2013 to reinforce the electric energy system in the states of Paran\u00e1 and Santa Catarina, and provide service to the Tri\u00e2ngulo Mineiro and Alto Parana\u00edba regions of the state of Minas Gerais; as well as continued services from the existing 162.2 kilometers of transmission lines and 2 substations, 230\/138 kV Mascarenhas and 230 kV Aimor\u00e9s, which serve the state of Esp\u00edrito Santo and the eastern portion of the state of Minas Gerais. The Lot covers 5 states (Santa Catarina, Paran\u00e1, Minas Gerais, S\u00e3o Paulo and Esp\u00edrito Santo) and crosses approximately 60 municipalities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrengthening our position in the transmission sector is a focal point for ENGIE Brasil Energia. Participation in recent years\u2019 auctions and the implementation of the Gralha Azul System, in Paran\u00e1; the Novo Estado System, between the states of Par\u00e1 and Tocantins; Gavi\u00e3o Real, in Par\u00e1, as well as Asa Branca, undergoing implementation in the states of Bahia, Minas Gerais and Esp\u00edrito Santo, has been providing essential technical expertise and experience in the sector, which is paramount to improving the country\u2019s energy security,\u201d said Eduardo Sattamini, CEO of ENGIE Brasil Energia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The public transmission concession service, including licensing, construction, operation and maintenance of the transmission assets, is being awarded for a thirty-year period from execution of the Concession Agreement, which is slated for signing in December.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe entered the auction confident in our ability to develop a competitive project with high quality, health and safety standards and socio-environmentally responsible as well. This commitment and professionalism are what makes us a relevant player not only for ENGIE Brasil Energia\u2019s direct stakeholders, but for the entire Brazilian electric energy industry,\u201d Sattamini added.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Activities in the segment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>ENGIE already operates over 2.7 thousand kilometers of power lines and 6 own substations in the Transmission segment, with Transmission Systems including Novo Estado, between Par\u00e1 and Tocantins; Gralha Azul, in Paran\u00e1; and Gavi\u00e3o Real, in Par\u00e1.
