ENGIE takes part in the Ribeirão Preto Agrishow for the first time

For the first time, ENGIE  will be at Brazil’s largest agricultural technology fair, the Agrishow from April 29 to May 3 in Ribeirão Preto (SP) to showcase its range of products and technological solutions related to energy management, efficiency and saving. The company’s stand will exhibit a mini solar plant, an electric-powered loader and an electric vehicle. In addition, the entire portfolio in generation, transmission, energy efficiency, photovoltaic systems and public lighting will be on show. In recent years, the company, a leader in energy generation in the private sector, has been diversifying its activities, focused on the needs of society and the energy transition.

“This fair is a shop window for us, given that we have already mapped out this sector and we know the substantial potential for growth there is”, declares Chief Commercial and Innovation Officer, Gabriel Mann. “We supply cooperatives, industries, companies and are looking for more customers to offer our solutions, including systems for monitoring consumption in real time”, says Mann. Agribusiness accounts for more than 20% of Brazilian GDP, according to data from Esalq/Usp’s Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics.

For Mann, the company offers solutions for meeting the needs of the full gamut of visitors to the Agrishow. “Our technologies in distributed generation can be applied in small, medium and large properties”, he says. The executive adds that he has been noticing strong demand from this segment of the economy. “People are looking for more efficient and sustainable productive processes”.

Responsible for more than 2 thousand solar installations in Brazil, ENGIE is one of the leading suppliers of photovoltaic systems with partners of recognized quality. This year, the company plans to double its share of the distributed energy market and grow its activities further in agribusiness. For example, in Goiás, ENGIE installed three photovoltaic systems at the Fazenda São João with a total power output of 278.25 kWp and a capacity to generate about 431,250 kWh/year, enough to satisfy the consumption of the poultry farms and the owners home. The farm has a capacity to produce about 2.5 million head of poultry and 13.5 thousand hogs per year.

Visitors to ENGIE’s stand at the 26th International Agricultural Technology in Action Fair will have the opportunity to see the functioning of the company’s solutions in practice ranging from electric powered loaders to cars, motorcycles and cycles as well as solutions for saving energy in the countryside and the city.  There will be total integration at Agrishow 2019 between the area for field demonstrations and the exhibition of machinery and equipment.
